Olmsted, Pfister Join Lumberjack Staff

FLAGSTAFF, AZ - Logan Olmsted, and Cameron Pfister have been added to the 2019-2020 Lumberjack Lacrosse coaching staff. "We are thrilled to have Coach Pfister back mentoring our face-off unit, and to welcome Coach Olmsted to the NAU Lacrosse family. Both coaches were phenomenal student-athletes, I look forward to the opportunity to work with, and learn from each of them" said Head Coach Will Lawlor. 

Logan Olmsted

Olmsted joins the NAU Lacrosse family as an assistant coach for the 2019-2020 Lumberjacks. As a former standout at JSerra Catholic High School, he was named Adrenaline All-American, 3x All-League, 2x All-County as a midfielder. Olmsted went on two play two seasons at NCAA Division II Colorado Mesa University, winning two RMAC league championships before enduring multiple shoulder injuries. 

Olmsted has coached for eight years at both the U-15, and Elite High School Club division levels. He grew up in south Orange County, California, where he has two siblings, and three dogs. Coach Olmsted will be graduating this December with degrees In Business Management, and Hotel and Restaurant Management from Northern Arizona University. Olmsted enjoys snowboarding, and hiking with his Australian Shepherd, Kahlua, in Flagstaff. We look forward to Olmsted working with our offensive players & goalies, and he is excited to bring his knowledge, and experience to the program. 

Cameron Pfister

Pfister wore the Blue & Gold for three seasons, joining our staff as an assistant coach for the 2019-2020 Lumberjacks. Pfister was an face-off specialist at NAU, winning a dominant 229 draws at a 62% career rate. He was named to the Southwestern Conference All-Freshman team, MCLA Under Armour Commanding Performance Honor Roll, and was the Alpha Lacrosse player of the game during our 2019 SLC broadcasted game of the week. 

Pfister has been a crucial part of the growth of NAU Lacrosse over the last three seasons. His freshman year, the Lumberjacks defeated conference rival Cal State Fullerton for the first time. In his sophomore season, the team defeated the #4 nationally ranked program in the country, St. John’s. His junior year, Pfister was dominant in NAU’s first conference championship season. 

Pfister grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, playing at Glendale High School, where he has coached previously for the Vipers. He is currently studying Philosophy, Politics, and Law at Northern Arizona University, and will be working with our face-off & wing athletes. Pfister is excited to be a part of the 2019-2020 team, and we are thrilled to have him coaching our face-off unit.
